Please download, read, and fully complete the following forms before class: Medical Statement, Liability Release, and Standard Safe Diving Practices.

An Open Water Referral course is where classroom and pool sessions are conducted here and open water dives are conducted with another scuba shop/operation, i.e. while on vacation.

Open Water is the first level of full diver certification where you are certified to dive down to 60' without a professional (Please note there are some minimum age requirements and subsequent depth and buddy restrictions associated therewith.  Please contact us for additional information).  You are also eligible to rent scuba gear and tanks, as well as have scuba tanks filled. This is the most popular level of scuba certifications.

  • Course fee*(includes all gear rental, educational materials, open water skills DVD, log book, recreational dive planner, and referral paperwork):

    - $255 regularly scheduled class referral only
    - $175 regularly scheduled eLearning class referral only ($120 online eLearning fee not included)
    - $375
    specially scheduled class* referral only [*classes specially scheduled for 2 or more divers]
    - $455
    Private 1 on 1 class referral only

* Students are required to provide their own mask, fins & snorkel by the open water weekend (student discount package pricing is available). Students have the opportunity to try out equipment during pool sessions.

To receive a Referral for the PADI Open Water certification, students will need to:

.

  • read Chapters 1, 2, 3, 4 & 5 in the Open Water Book or on the CD-Rom
    watch the Open Water DVD or video segments on the CD-Rom
  • complete the corresponding Knowledge Reviews for Chapters 1, 2, 3, 4 & 5
  • achieve a passing grade on corresponding Quizzes 1, 2, 3, 4 & the Final Exam (minimum 75%)
  • attend all scheduled class/pool sessions (sessions, called a Modules, correspond with Chapters)
