Open Water Referral

Please note: Release the following downloadable forms are required to be reviewed and completed in advanced of class: Medical Statement, Liability Release, and Standard Safe Diving Practices.

An Open Water* Referral course is where classroom and pool sessions are conducted here and open water dives are conducted with another scuba shop/operation, i.e. while on vacation.

*Open Water is the first level of full diver certification where you are certified to dive down to 60' without a professional (Please note there are some minimum age requirements and subsequent depth and buddy restrictions associated therewith.  Please contact us for additional information).  You are also eligible to rent scuba gear and tanks, as well as have scuba tanks filled. This is the most popular level of scuba certifications.

  • Course Prices:

    - $299 regularly scheduled class referral only (Course price is comprised of two fees: $130 online eLearning fee and $169 course fee.)
    - $399
    specially scheduled referral (Course price is comprised of two fees: $130 online eLearning fee and $269 course fee.)
    - $499 Private 1 on 1 class (Course price is comprised of two fees: $130 online eLearning fee and $369 course fee.)

  • Our course fee includes your use of all equipment for pool sessions, recreational dive planning table, log book, referral paperwork, and our Enhanced Dive Curriculum. This Enhanced Dive Curriculum is unique to Seven Seas Scuba where we spend time with our students applying dive theory, dive planning, equipment selection, and more to local diving and diving while traveling.
To receive a Referral for the PADI Open Water certification, students will need to:
  • Complete eLearning online (dive students should bring the eLearning Completion Certificate with them to the first day of class)
  • Complete a Quick Quiz on either the Orientation evening or on the first day of class
  • Attend the scheduled dive curriculum class time and pool sessions (sessions, called a Modules, correspond with Chapters)

Course Cancellation/Refund Policies: eLearning course fees are non-refundable. Remainder of course fees may be refunded with written cancellation notices received 7 days prior to the first date of class. 50% refund available for written cancellation notices received within 7 days of the first date of class. Class fees are non-refundable: (1) after the first day of class, (2) in the case of no-shows, or (3) once a student has transferred to another course.
